I'm inspired by a range of design styles like natural, coastal, industrial, minimal, modern, and bohemian. Each brings its own unique qualities: natural design with earthy tones, coastal design for a relaxed feel, industrial design with raw materials, minimal design for simplicity, modern design with sleek lines, and bohemian design with vibrant patterns. These influences help me create spaces that truly reflect my clients' personalities and lifestyles.

My favorite design aesthetic is California Modern (or the newly-coined Pacific Natural), with a nod to the casual vibe of the 1970s. Light-filled spaces with soft neutral color palettes, unfussy furniture and lots of organic textures, textiles and raw materials that create a sense of relaxation and balance. And plants- a house is not home without plants!

My favorite design aesthetic is Contemporary and Scandinavian. I enjoy creating inspirational and unique spaces, and I love to add a pop of color, textures, or patterns. I know that all spaces have the potential to be both functional and beautiful.

I believe that form follows function; after all, I teach this subject at an architectural school. But once we've covered the first one, why not have fun with the second one? Evidence-based design such as biophilia gives us all the theory we may need to get a good-looking space of wellness.

I think my favorite design aesthetic is a mix of various styles. If you asked me about one in particular, I would say that organic or biophilic modernism is the one that uses the most elements that I like, but there are four more styles that I love and from which I rescue specific elements to create a unique design. I want to highlight my other favorite styles: Contemporary, Industrial, Scandinavian and Minimalism.

I've always enjoyed a design aesthetic that incorporates organic shapes and natural textures. I like to achieve this style by layering textiles and bringing in products that make a space feel more inviting!

I love using natural materials and lighting to enhance a room's mood. My favorite styles, Scandinavian and Classic, allow me to express my creativity and bring out each space's unique character.

My go to design aesthetics are coastal, bohemian and eclectic. I have always been drawn to the ocean and get a lot of my inspiration from growing up in New England and living in Southern California. I also love mixing and matching pieces old and new... when you do this in the right way, you have a beautifully curated space that others will envy!

I love to use different styles to create either contrast or harmony in a project, and often both resulting in a beautifully balanced space.

I love a neutral tone room because it will always feel timeless and elegant. I think of it like a blank canvas that you can change occasionally, on a low budget; for example, just by adding new throw pillows or by accessorizing your coffee table. I am all about including statement pieces in areas such as the living room; it will help elevate the place and create the feeling that your home is unique. Plants are also a must; they bring so much life!

I have worked with many different styles over the years and have enjoyed working with them all. But for my style, I would have to say Mid- Century Modern with a touch of Bohemian. I love the style, clean lines, and bold colors from the Mid- Century but it’s the mixing of different patterns and textures that attracts me to the boho side.
